Baginbun Sea Pinks

Medium: Oil on Panel

I've painted at this spot several times, but there is always something different each time you paint the ocean. This time it was the added attraction of the "sea pinks". These delicate looking little flowers just bloom for a couple of weeks in early June and then they're gone for another year. Despite their appearance, they're tough as nails hanging on to the cliff edges with virtually no soil to grow on and bearing the full brunt of the Atlantic wind and rain.
